Who Oppose and Result

  • China oppose claimed that India not a signatory of Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Romour : China under Pakistan Agenda
  • Austria, Hungury, South Africa too opposing
  • NSG need full consent not a simple majority for taking decision

Outcome of Seoul Meet

  • No Membership for India 
  • Reason : Non signatory of NPT
  • Brazil, Turkey, China, Newzealand, Austria, Ireland and Switzerland raise NPT question

  • US confident over India's membership
  • Another positive sign is the support of Argentina

No Need of NSG Membership!!!!!!Why

  • Some expert opinion is the NSG membership will not hamper India's civil nuclear projects
  • India successfully concluded bilateral trade with France, US, Russia and other nation
  • Also had agreement with nuclear fuel supplier nation such as Kazakhstan, Australia
  • In 2015 December India signed technology and service pact with Japan to develop civil nuclear energy
