World Heritage Day was Observed On 18 April 2015
The world on 18 April 2015 celebrated the World Heritage Day to celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites. The first world Heritage Day was celebrated on 18 April 1982 by the International Council on Monuments and
Sites (ICOMOS) in Tunisia and was approved in 1983 by UNESCO. World Heritage Day or the International Day for Monuments and Sites is observed with an aim to encourage local communities and individuals throughout the world to consider the importance of cultural heritage in their lives, identities and communities. It is also aimed to promote awareness of its diversity and vulnerability and the efforts required to protect and conserve it. The day generally is celebrated across the world by organizing several events like exhibitions, excursions, scientific conferences and symposia, photography competitions, excursions and others.
Shah Rukh Khan Won Asian Award In London
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan won an Outstanding Contribution to Cinema honour in London at the fifth annual The Asian Awards, where he was seen partying with the likes of One Direction’s former band member Zayn Malik. The Asian Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals born in or with direct origin from across pan-Asia in all disciplines of life — from business and the arts, to sport and public service.
Ashish Jakhar from Haryana sets National Youth record in hammer throw
Ashish Jakhar from Haryana on 17 April 2015 set a national youth record in boys’ hammer throw event and won gold medal in the 12th National Youth Athletics Championships held in Bambolim, Goa. In this event, Ashish had hurled 5kg ball-and-chain at record distance of 72.04 metres in a second throw which made a national youth record. In his opening throw he had hurdled at a distance of 71.92 metres. With this, he broke the previous national record of 70.35 metres which was set by Haryana’s Sukhdev Singh in 2009. While, Uttar Pradesh’s Miraj Ali took the silver medal with a 68.35 metres throw in the meet. Hammer throw event in the 12th National Youth Athletics Championships is also the selection trials for the inaugural Asian Youth Championships which are to be held in Doha in May 2015. At present and so far this season, only Chinese thrower Xu Wenjie has a better mark than Ashish in the Asian rankings, with a 72.35 metres throw.

5 Australian teenagers were arrested for planning to attack Melbourne
Five Australian teenagers were arrested for planning an IS model attack on Melbourne. All the arrest took place at Melbourne. The suspect include four 18 year old and one 19 year old teenagers. They planned to attack Melbourne on the ANZAC day ceremony which is going to held at Melbourne on April 25.
