Nestle’s Maggi noodles fails tests in Delhi

• Nestlé’s Maggi noodles across the country with the Delhi government saying its tests had found unfit for consumption and Kerala imposing a temporary ban on the product at 1,200 state-run outlets

• Eight other states — Haryana, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Bihar, Punjab, Assam and Tamil Nadu have sent samples of the product for testing at government labs

• Court in Bihar directed police to register an FIR against two Nestle officials and Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta, for their commercial association with the brand

Meena Hemchandra appointed as new Executive Director of RBI

• Reserve Bank of India (RBI) , has appointed  Meena Hemchandra as its executive director

• She would also be in charge of department of non- banking supervision and department of co-operative banking supervision.

• She worked as principal of Reserve Bank’s College of Agriculture in Pune, also worked in external investment and operations department.
