Sebi Expands advisory Panel on Start-Ups by Adding Two Members

• Sebi expanded its advisory panel, headed by IT czar N R Narayana Murthy, by appointing two new members.
• With new additions -- Manish Kejriwal (Managing Partner of Kedaara Capital Advisors) and Arvind Mathur (President of Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association)
• The panel includes representatives from the industry, private equity firms and start-up organisations, besides senior officials of Sebi, RBI and the Finance Ministry.

World Environment day celebrated

• World Environment Day was observed globally on 5 June 2015 and  celebrations were organized by Expo Milano 2015
• More than 130 countries participate for the world Environment Day and host country is Italy
• 'Seven Billion Dreams; One Planet; Consume with Care' was the the theme of the Day
• It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 on the day that United Nations Conference on the Human Environment began

First green police station opened

• Delhi Police today opened the country's first green police station at Maurice Nagar in North Delhi and was inaugurated by the Police Commissioner Bhim Sain Bassi. 
• In order to decrease consumption of electricity all light fittings have been changed to LED
• Selected paintings on environment were put on the walls in the form of Graffiti
