Multi Object Tracking Radar (MOTR) by ISRO


*The Indian space agency is set to test its sophisticated, indigenously-built,
multi-object tracking radar (MOTR) on a rocket flight next month while formal commissioning is expected to take three months time, said a senior official.

*The MOTR designed and developed by Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) will be tested next month during a PSLV rocket flight.

*The radar weighing 35 ton, 12 metre long and 8 metre tall rectangular could be turned in different directions and will be used to meet the range safety purposes during a rocket launch

Reconstruction Cost  For Nepal is Over Rs 500 Billion

*The reconstruction of the quake-ravaged Nepal would cost over Rs 500 billion announced by the Finance Minister and works have been started by setting up a fund of Rs 200 billion 

* The economy was adversely affected by the  earthquake that killed over 8,400 people across Nepal. Other sectors like services industry, agriculture, tourism, health and education have also been badly hit by the quake.


Gagan Narang wins bronze medal at ISSF World Cup Rifle Prone Event


*India’s ace shooter Gagan Narang won the bronze medal in the 50m Rifle Prone Event of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.

*Narang is third Indian shooter to make the 2016 Rio Olympics cut after Jitu Rai and Apurvi Chandela
