Trade route to Pakistan given a fillip

  • This strategy will help to combat declining the sex ratio
  • The current PCPNDT (Pre-conception and Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act) prohibited the determination of the sex of foetus

Maternity leave for mother by using a surrogate

  • Three month leave for employee of Central Railway who became a mother using a surrogate
  • The mother will get same benefits of maternity under the Child Adoption Leave and Rules
  • Court observes that "A newborn baby cant be left under the mercy of others
  • The Central Railway denies the leave when she claim the leave for surrogacy under the Indian Railway Establishment board that provides for a Child Adoptive leave
