Janagraha voice survey in 21 cities: Delhi poor in policing
- Voice of India Citizens (VOICE) study conducted annual survey by the Bangalore based Uraban governing group Janagraha surveyed in 21 cities based on the quality of life and civic amenities
- 25,000 People responds to the survey from 21 cities in VOICE 2014
- The gauge of the study is what citizens think about civic services

- Policing least in Delhi. Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad were more satisfied
- Delhi and Mumbai high on civic amenities
- Water problem maximum in Chennai
- Mumbai have the best power supply system
- Kolkatta first in Women safety
- Ahmadabad, Surat, Jaipur, Kanpur, Patana and Bhopal had less quality road according to the survey
Cricketers discharged in spot-fixing case
- 36 accused in the spot fixing case were discharged by the sessions court including players
- Rajasthan Royal players S.Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Aket Charan were arrested in 2013 for the case among the 36
- The court observed that their is no strong evidence against the 36 and can't prove their connection Dawood Ibrahim
- The police put them under MCOCA law in the spot fixing case
MCOCA Law
- Maharashtra Council of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) enacted by the Maharashtra Government in 1999 against the organised crime and terrorism
- This is a non bailable offense
- If a case under the MCOCA Law then the accused himself proved in the court with solid evidence that he is innocent

- He was the Deputy Chairman of the Council from 1968 to 1978 and Chairman from 1968-1984

China successfully tests new carrier rocket
