   India is a growing nation in both Economically and Culturally. The government is trying to implement a series of initiatives in the growing Society. On of the initiative that the Union Government started is the Digital India.

What is Digital India ? 
  • Union Government under Narendra Modi approved the e-governance initiative named Digital India Project
  • The project is an initiative to ensure that all government services are available online to the citizens.
  • By implementing the new online initiative, it helps the citizens to get the updated data and communication technology inventions
  • This should be implemented all the villages and in Urban areas
Early Effort
  • The program is a new version of an already existing project named National E-Governance plan
  • Later the project is restructure
  • Many companies like Silicon Company, Microsoft shows interest in the Central Governed project
  • Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg visited PM recently and promised in bringing internet access tot all the villages and assure providing affordable and universal online sevices
Functions and Estimate
  • Digital India Advisory group will be formed under the Ministry of Communication and IT
  • An estimate of one lakh rupees is the total cost of the project
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed the project and will be complete by 2019
