  • International Day for Biodiversity if observed on 22 May 2015, the Minister of state, Forest and Climate Prakash Javadekar declared.
  • The day is celebrated to recognize the role of biodiversity to life on earth and human well being

Indo-Bangla Friendship Bus Arrives From Dhaka


  • The Indo-Bangladesh friendship bus that began its journey from Dhaka arrived with tight security.

  • Aimed at improving people-to-people contact, the bus is expected to foster friendships and contacts between the residents of the two neighbouring countries and slated to be officially launched next month.

11-Year-Old Indian-American boy Graduates From College


  • An Indian-American home-schooled boy has graduating from a US college at the age of 11 with three associate degrees in maths, science and foreign language studies.


  • Tanishq Abraham, a native of Sacramento, California, graduated from American River College in Sacramento (ARC), California, alongside 1,800 students.
  • Abraham is the youngest person to graduate from American River College this year.


Heat Wave Kills About 230 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 5 Weeks



  • About 230 people have died since mid-April in a heat wave sweeping two southeast Indian states and More than 100 people have died from the brutal heat in Andhra Pradesh
  • Day temperatures in Telangana is more than 48 degrees Celsius
