India economic growth to surpass China’s in 2015-16: UN report
*UN World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) Report for Mid update -2015 said that India’s economic growth will surpass China’s growth in 2016.
*The report shows that India’s economy to grow by 7.6 per cent in year 2015 and 7.7 per cent in 2016.
*According to the report China’s economic growth will be 7 per cent in year 2015 and 6.8 per cent in 2016.
Author Laszlo Krasznahorkai wins Man Booker International Prize
*Man Booker International Prize for the year 2015 has been won by author Laszlo Krasznahorkai of Hungary.
*He was chosen from 10 contenders all over the world and he was awarded at a ceremony that took place in London on May 20th 2015.
