Free SMS alert for farmers on weather condition

• Government announced free SMS alert for farmers on weather condition
• This will help the farmers to know the extreme weather condition and the name for the alert is nowcast
• Over one crore registered framers get the SMS every three hours
• The SMS will be sent in Hindi, English and the regional languages according to the farmers requist
• The data were taken from the 146 stations of India meteorological Department
• IMD has 17 doppler radar that feed the extreme weather condition

L&T Wins Rs 2,278-Crore Orders in May, June 

• Larsen & Toubro (L&T) won orders worth Rs 2,278 crore across business verticals in May and June
• Also a job order worth Rs 1,020 crore, including add-ons, went to the heavy civil infrastructure division
• The trading rate of stock was at Rs 1,739 on BSE, up by 1.49 per cent
