*Indian Origin diplomat, Gopinath Pillai is awarded outstanding service award in Singapore for his services. 

*The award was given by National University of Singapore(NUS). 

*Current he is serving as Ambassador-at-Large of Singapore and special envoy to Andhra Pradesh.

Russian hackers read Obama's e-mails

*Russian hackers who penetrated sensitive parts of the White House computer system last year read president Barack Obama's unclassified e-mails.

*According to the officials there is no evidence that the president's e-mails account itself was hacked.

*It took place last year and that it did not affect classified information.
